Is it safe to travel to Socotra?
Yes Socotra is a very safe place, it was never impacted by the instabilities happening in Yemen mainland. Locals in Socotra are the kindest and most hospitable people ever; you will definitely feel safe and well taken care of all the time.

How do we get to Socotra?
We go by a charter fight that goes directly from Abu Dhabi to Socotra. The charter flight cannot be booked online and it can only be booked through tour operators. There are no direct flights to Socotra from any other place other than Abu Dhabi.

Do I need a visa to visit Socotra?
All nationalities require a visa to visit Socotra. All we need is your passport copy and we apply for the visa on your behalf.

When is the best time to visit Socotra?
The travel season is from October to May.

I am not used to camping, can I stay in a hotel instead?
Yes, hotel stay could be arranged for an extra fee. To set your expectations, hotels in Socotra are pretty basic; however they are very clean and functional so you will get an air-conditioned room with toilet, shower & running hot/cold water. We can also arrange for a hybrid set up where you can alternate between camping and hotel every other day.

How big are the travel groups?
Our groups are capped at 10 travelers per group. If you dont like to travel in a group, we also organize private trips for smaller groups.

What are the toilets and showers situation at the campsites?
We have portable toilets that our team sets up at every camp site with biodegradable waste bags. Alternatively, you can just choose to do it outdoors in the nature . For showers, some campsites will have proper showers, others will have fresh water tanks for bucket showers or you will have a natural water stream that you can use as a shower. We always recommend you bring organic soap/shampoo when you visit Socotra to avoid bringing chemicals that will pollute their environment.

What if I dont like to hike/trekk?
All trekking activities are optional, you can choose to chill be the beach or at the campsite if you dont feel like trekking.
